With only a few days left before our short holiday hiatus, I decided that I needed to get a few projects tidied up.

I did a very thorough cleaning of the exterior yards, removing the piles of dead leaves and grass, tossing scraps of wood, picking nails and screws out of the gravel in the driveways, and finally going around and spraying all of the weeds popping up here and there.
Early in the morning Scott got the old green awnings removed from the front of each patio awning. We next made sure all of our electrical wiring got wired up to switches and outlets and then got tested. We ran into a few items that needed some adjustment such as, moving the coaxial cable line into the attic so it wasn’t visible on the exterior of the house then dropping it into the wall so it would come out directly where we planned to mount the TV. During all of this testing we received a visit from the friendly Lowe’s delivery truck with our new kitchen cabinets and stainless steel ranges. We are still a few days away from being ready to mount the cabinets, so Scott parked his truck right next to the delivery truck’s lift gate and we moved everything from one truck to another. With everything securely strapped down we transported and offloaded the entire delivery into our storage unit.
Tile continues to progress slower than we had expected. They got the last few intricate cuts made and laid down. Grout was colored and Saltillo tiles were grouted on both sides. Kitchen and bathroom tiles were beginning to be grouted but I didn’t manage to get a photo so you’ll just have to wait til the next day to see them. They’re looking really good and I’m excited to see it finished up.
Almost time to take a break…
